About Surfrider Foundation of Palm Beach County
The Palm Beach County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, 501(c)(3) non-profit, environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our oceans, waves, and beaches, for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education.
Today, the Surfrider Foundation network has 84 chapters, plus 30 high school and college clubs, and more than 250,000 supporters, volunteers and activists around the country. They are working on about 100 different campaigns in four areas: beach access, water quality, coastal preservation (coastal development) and protection. Armed with a model to defend the coast, they have achieved a record of 297 victories (and counting) since 2006.
